Museum 60 Years Birthday Bash & Auction
Help celebrate 60 years of Island County History at our Birthday Bash & Auction on Saturday, 25 July. This admission free fundraising event is open to the public and will begin at 1pm on the Coupeville Community Green on Alexander Street. We have partnered with the Coupeville Farmer’s Market so come early, explore the Market, and know that the hot food vendors will stick around to feed you.
Registration for the auction begins at 1:30pm with the silent auction running from 2pm-3pm. The live auction, conducted by auctioneer extraordinaire Dale Sherman, will run from 3pm to 4pm. All proceeds will go to the Island County Historical Museum (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) to continue daily operations. In addition the Museum will be selling memberships, memorial bricks, gift shop items, and hotdogs. There will also be a special Kid’s Tent with face painting, crafts, fun, and games. Kids of all ages are encouraged to dress in pioneer attire for an impromptu costume contest with prizes for the winners.
To make it more fun, consider donating an item for auction. We will be accepting donations from July 1st through July 18th. If your donations are too large to drop off at the Museum, please call 678-3310 to arrange pick-up. Your donations should have a value of at least $40. We are looking for unique, unusual, fun and fabulous items, so look around your home, garage or barn to locate those special treasures. If not an item, consider offering a service or experience for auction. And, of course, cash donations will also be cheerfully accepted. Regardless, your donation is tax deductable and you will receive a receipt and our heartfelt thanks shortly after the auction.
Please feel free to call Jackie Feusier at 678-5124 or the Museum at 678-3310 for further information.
